Ryan Posted May 21, 2009 Share I have seen this topic on the hub before but i cannot find it. Does anybody ride and recommend the Mountain Kings. I need to replace my tyres and have no clue what to go for. Not running tubeless. Old school tubes and liners. Mostly trail riding. M44SE Posted May 21, 2009 Share I ride Conti 2.2 back 2.4 front, the 2.4 in the front is awesome for grip, no washing out!! very good on grip all round, been thru 3 back tyres this year with cuts, conti's are very expensive, but i prefer the grip. M44SE Posted May 21, 2009 Share about 2 weeks ago the cheapest from LBS was about R630ea up to R750ea they were talking about price increases (crazy) CRC has them around R400 if you get a few guys together and buy. Moab Posted May 21, 2009 Share If you are not looking at UST Conti's look at Sports Direct. They have fairly good prices on the Mountain Kings. I have just ordered UST Race and Mountain Kings from CRC based on advice from Andrew McLean - he rode Mountain King front, Race King back for epic and did not have problems with them.
