I mean we have the Cape Epic but how much spectating is there really? The XC at Cascades was one of the most impressive World Cup CX races I have EVER seen, it was great for spectators, lots of vantage points, lots of action and great riding. Soccer what? Angelboy Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 What a vibe! Even non mtb riders loved it! I really had a good giggle at the 2 guys at the bottom of the downhill course, bobbing is clearly their thing!

BMX is happening, look at Sifiso's results, XC is happening, look at Burry's results, DH is happening, look at Needles and Greg's results. Cycling, and particularly that of rougher, dertier nature is really begging to get some light shed on it. Hopefully we can continue to make it work and get behind events such as these... rant over

_im_from_earth Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 This year we had a pretty exclusive "Morewood" trail ride with Nathan Rennie, Mitch Delfs and a few lucky Morewood owners out in Howick. Next year I think I will arrange to do a few more of these, those of you who are coming down to PMB for the World Cup HAVE to experience the local riding. And I don't just mean Giba Gorge. There is SUCH great riding out here! Every weekend I learn more and love it more!
TitusTi Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Yeah, was up in PMB the weekend of the National and the WC, was taken riding both weekends by some very knowledgable locals, mainly out in the Karkloof area, man, it was cool, some of the nicest rides I've had.
