Racer X Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Look I am all for good spelling, I am a Pom through and through and pride myself on the fact that I can spell words most folks cannot pronounce. That said, I do beleive that being able to spell does not prove anything. I know people at the local university who have PHDs in Nuclear Physics who can't spell to save their lives. At the end of the day spelling is just a means of communicating efficiently, it does not, in any way, dicate how intelligent people are. That said I still write out whole words when ever I SMS some one. This short hand "texting," drives me mad.
