I have a bottle of Memorex 10 wt suspension oil. I have ordered a bottle of Rock Shox 10 wt suspension oil. I am busy rebuilding my shock. can I mix the two brands of same weight suspension oil????

Thanx in advance

I would be careful, not all manufactures oil weights are equal (even if they both say 10 wt, they may not both be equal).

I would rather stick to the same brand

It should be ok to blend two 10wt's from different manufacturers ans still have 10wt oil  provided you are blending by mass, i.e. weigh the oil instead of using a volume measure

by the way there is no such thing as a 5wt or a 10wt oil.

The correct classification is 5W and 10W (SAE)

Of course these are viscosity ranges not absolute values like ISO classifications.

If blending by vlme then there can be viscosity differences between two 5W or 10W oils but not if blending by mass.
