Which is more puncture prone.......Tube or tubeless??

It depends what you call a puncture?

If you mean a "flat" then a tube is by far more prone.

What I mean by puncture is when I need to stop riding and start fiddling with the stuff in my backpack!!! I HATE IT!!! I will do whatever it is I need to do to minimise the act of taking a wheel off and fixing the damn thing while riding/racing!

And whats with those stupid skinny screw out type valves, anybody ever unscrewed their pump/bomb after replacing the tube and then the inner valve comes with..........AngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

smiley36.gif maybe you shold try and relax more when you racing/riding . There is only solution to your frustrations and that would be to go toobless . But you will still get puntures , just not that often , maybe once a year if you very unlucky .

touch wood. I have never had a flat wheel on my bike with slime tubes. I know I've had quite a few punctures but they always get sealed. Remove your tyre and see how much slime is between the tube and tyre.

What I've been saying

Been riding tubes since I started.  completed 3 epics with one puncture each(pinchflats) and I ride my tires 2.8-3 bar and I weigh 62kg

Went tubeless August 2007

So far only had one burp and one flat (leak at valve base on rim strip which my brother broke and then didnt put enough fluid in to seal it up)

done epic 2008 and sani2c 2009... still ridin...

Oh and I dont ride slow...not the fastest...but 5th Mixed at Sani is not bad.

Three words

Oliver Yes Tubes

What makes them different to other tubes? There web site does not explain it' date=' just knocks tubeless.

But anyway, I just put some slime (RAD slime) in my tubes this weekend. Cheapest option.

I also ride with tyre liners, might be overkill for weight weenies but only time i stop is to help clueless tubeless guys fix theirs

Seems tubes works for some but not for others . So if you feel lucky do the tube thing ' date=' just stay away from Babaas lodge !![/quote']

Ride on the designated track and you wont have a problem.LOL
