Giant vs. Warranty vs. Painting

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I managed to crack the frame of my pride and joy........ lucky for me I have a 5year warranty on the frame......NOPEShocked.

Took my bike to the LBS with proof of payment and asked how the warranty works, claiming etc.....

Turns out that as I have painted my Giant bicycle (done proffesionaly by Cycle Art) that my warranty is void.......

How k@K is that.......... so be warned........before painting your bicycle please check if te warranty is still valid.

I am so AngryAngryAngryAngry since painting a frame will do nothing to the welding / structural integrity I think this is a layme ass ecxuse- but guess this is not a battle I will win against GIANT bicycles.

So.........CryCryCry

Hello .

Yes, repainting your Cannondale frame will void the

warranty.  This is explained in the Cannondale Bicycle Owner?s Manual

which can be found in the Tech section of our website www.cannondale.com.

Thank you for contacting Cannondale.  Have a nice day.
