Try getting finance......... bank OK's my application in 5 minutes............... only to decline later because I work in a foreign country.  It is ok for me to pay R50k into my bank account every month, but not enough to secure me finance.  The tannie by Ford must think I am an @sshole.

Can someone not sort this out.

Peeves me no end

Samma, can't you take it up with your portfolio manager? or relationship manager? You can also base the HP on your contract agreement, i think. I can find out for you onm Monday; it could also be thesedays that the credit act is putting pressure on the banks ..

After 3 years my wife is still waiting for Helderberg Hyundai to phone her to tell us her "new" Atos has arrived ... apparently the colour she wants is vary scarce in the Cape.

Needless to say that my brother-in-law in Kriel, Mapumalanga walked into some half arsed town Hyundai dealership the morning (3 yrs ago) and had the car in his drive way by lunchtime, in the requested colour.

We joke and say that we will get the car when we want to replace our current one in 7 yrs !!!

** Thats why we drive around with MP number plates in the Cape

Which bank is it OT? Generally if the deal has been ok'ed, the contract should be ready (from the bank side) within 24 hours; which the dealer should release your new vehicle. Check with the bank; or if you submitted the application to the agent at the dealer, put pressure on him/her.

One would think with dealerships struggling or not selling as many cars that they would be happy to help a new customer.

Not the bank but the dealership is dragging their feet. Told them today that if the bakkie is not ready for collection by 14H00 at the latest that I will cancel the deal and go somewhere else.

when next we go for a ride I will tell you about the bad service I got from them.

I simply refuse to use any dealership which is under ownership of the existing owner. So I dont go to stellenbosch, paarl, or the one in Fish Hoek.

Dont get me started ... after 2 major services with them, never again. Did not know they where stellies too - was going to send the car for the next service due in a couple of K.

Will take a day off to go somewhere else just out of principle to get the car serviced.

What I can never figure out is the PR spin banks have with  "relationship managers" Confused In relationship parlance you should then be able to tell them that "we need to talk Angry ", just as wifey does when something goes pearshaped .. and then matters get sorted out, or you agree to disagree. That's a relationship we all recognise. It's a two-way street. But with banks it never gets into that territory. It's largely just "do as I say or else" because they sometimes have your nuts in a vice-grip, and they call it a relationship, with the "customer" part conveniently dropped. To me it's prostitution .. you pay hard cash to deposit .. and to withdraw .. and for the convenience of doing either Stern%20Smile . Some relationship that is.
