This used to be such a nice road to train on, but we are more and more become the victims of violence on this road. And that in groups! First the R44 going out of sbos to paarl, then the Klipheuwel road also going out of sbos (both past "infromal settlements" or colored areas as one of my colored friends call it), NOW on bottelary road! Soon we will only be able to ride to sommerset on the R44, past sommerset its also gets a bit tight going past strand to Gordonsbay. Dammm rubbers We should start shooting ppl, steal cheat "them", this is too much a one way thing going on here. You'll get 100's of cyclist on that road on a saturday and sunday. A lot of funrides is also using this road. The same road were they shot a speedcop about a month ago. Very nice to do the circle around klimheuwel road from stellenbosch, bottelary road and then left through kraaifontein on the R102 and then on the Polkadraai road back to Stellenbosch. This to form part of training route. I guess a safe'ish route is still all the way out with the klipheuwel road to Malmesbury. Just the part when entering stellenbosch on the Klimheuwel road - through the squatter camp area/ factory side of town.
