I was wondering when someone would say that! I have been reading this thinking I would rather watch ladies in lycra no matter how much they earned at the end.

sounds like the general consensus is that the split between Male and Female should be proportional.

 

i believe the proportion in MTB is about 70/30 - Male / Female.

 

for those events that are prepared to stick their necks out and support the ladies better, how can they encourage more female partcipation. and how about Female specific companies getting their acts together and sponsoring events?? somebody mentioned "wonderbra"? why dont they put some money behind their convictions. all very well to "demand / expect" equality - lets see some action.

I wouldn't agree on 70/30, maybe more of 60/40 - male/female then i would agree with the prize money. It doesn't matter how much we debate about this topic, it's not gonna change anything unless we as the public do something about it instead of sitting on our @$$ the whole time and twiddle our thumbs... Maybe if we all work together and get more ladies to ride and possibly get a sponsor, then there should be some peace... Hopefully.
