So I got a bottle of OKO and wanted to do the whole ghetto thing - various factors prevented me so I decided to put 50ml of slime into each of my tubes (2 months ago).

So last night while watching paint dry on my PC screen (server monitoring) I decided to muck around with my tyres.

I used my valve core remover to remove the valve and was welcomed by the usual rush of air for a few seconds and then nothing. Checked the tube still had half the remaining volume in it.

I squeezed the tube and no air wants to come out. No matter how hard I squeezed nothing happened. I then checked the valve tube and saw membrane of slime had formed there. It took a nail to break it!

Really impressed for slime to be able to patch a hole the size of the valve!!!

While running tubeless is the way to go, for now just having good quality slime in my tubes is peice of mind. Big%20smile

Must say a hole the size of a valve is rather big and I would be happy if it just worked on thorns. Given me confidence in hitting certain trails.

Oh and one thing I liked about OKO (never tried other brands and could also hold true to them) was that the slime was still wet enough to wipe off the valve core when I removed it. I was originally concerned that the slime might have hardened in the core making it useless.

Lilo put almost a Cup of the stuff in her tyre, Raced next day, got a flat, bombed it a few times, then walked back to the start. Was only a little torn hole that only later sealed when we got home. Then on her next ride, some story, flat again. I have to say, we are not impressed by the stuff so far.

I got some of what was on offer from Rad during the last order and haven't run flat yet, and I know I've defnitely punctured. So, it seems to have worked OKo for me smiley14.gif .

I couldn't find how much OKO to add to each tyre so I just put in 100ml per tyre (I think).

What's the recommended dose per tyre when running tubeless?
