I want to swop my chain ring bolts on my 2008 XT cranks, and i dont know what tool I need, it's not a 4/5mm allen key or a 25torx screw, please help. The tech docs only call it a M* which is the thread size.

I see at builders warehouse you can get a multi-tool style set of TORX drives for about R70 randts. Still need to confirm sizes though. But vary handy have all sizes lying around as T15 is popular for IT equipment

and the new Sram XX parts only use torx bolts.

As does Formula.

I wouldn't get the multitool option, I would rather go for a set with individual keys like an Allen/hex Key set. I have the Park Torx multitool and it gets in the way sometimes - especially when you need to use the small ones... my 3c
