Has anyone else found it so difficult to find the right MTB shoes in Cape Town!!??

I am struggling to find a decent supplier of MTB shoes in and around Cape Town, so if you have any good experiences or suggestions, all are welcome...thanks!

I have been looking around for Specialized and Shimano based on recommendations. What are your thoughts? Any other brands i should keep my eyes open for? Price wise i have seen pretty average brand shoes coming in at R700 and then the other end of the scale with shoes at R2500. Ultimately i am looking for shoes better than entry level but not the high end, high spec, full racing MTB shoes. I'm not sounding fussy am i??

Olympic Cycles

Last time I was in these shops they seemed to have reasonable stock of a range of shoes.

Are you an unusual shoe size that you cant find the right ones?

Was at Williams in Somerset West last week and they have a nice selection in the R500-R800 range. Getting a pair from them tomorrow.

Oh, and they have a big selection of sizes. I'm a size 6,5 and they have that (whatever the UK sizing is)

Great...thanks for names!

I am a UK Size 12, and more often than not i struggle to find my size shoes so that is the first problem.

What i was trying to suss out was what kind of prices i can expect for a good pair of MTB shoes and also where you guys like getting your gear from.

One thing i can't stand is sales people/stores that couldn't care less about the riders that support them...
