Just want to give a shout out to Tony Impey in Bedford Centre. Helped me fine tune my setup and because of that I could feel a definite difference in my race yesterday. He was very helpful. So Thanks. Clap<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Hello. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Sorry I missed you ? how was your race?

Yea it was a great race, ended up 13th and shaved off 6 min off my best time. The setup was great, there were fundamental problems with my setup and Tony sorted it out quick-quick. My back still gives problems so I think the next stop is a chiropractor. I really want to start doing the 70km?s. I am getting used to Babba?s which is great, I know where to hold back and where to give it a good go. I am doing the race on the 9th but still the 35km till my back?s sorted out.

Race was flipn awesome!!  Finished 35th on the 70km.  What Im proud of is that by best time on the 35km is 1:28, and yesterday I was able to finish in 2:57, which equates to two sub 1:30 laps.  We also had a great group of about 5 riders (one smoking hot lady) that worked well together.  We rode basically both laps sharing the lead and in the last bit of a climb I made a move and pulled away cuz I knew I wouldnt be able to hold them off on the flat bit to the end.  Really enjoyed it.

Glad you did so well! Congrats!

There aint many cycling shops left that offer you that personal touch.  Shops like Tony Impey, Johnsons Cycles, Finish Line, CWC, etc, have being in the business to many years and know the sport backwards.  To these guys it is all about building a relationship and NOT about turning numbers.

I seriously dislike cycling stores like Cajees.  They have no clue in setting up a bike, and will say any BS just to make the sale.  Another thing about these stores is that they inflate the prices and then you must work them down.

There workshop is another story.   Unfortunately it was the 94.7 coming up and I wanted to get my bike serviced.  All the big boys (TI, Johnsons, Finish Line, etc) were booked up.  So I took my bike to Cajees for a service, until I took my bike to the back of the store and saw the filth that they work in.  I ran away with my bike.  Rode the race and then serviced my bike appropriately

I support the TI, Johnsons, Finish Line and CWC simply because of the knowledge, friendly service, prices and there work echics.

I?ve had a big rant ?n rave about the above mentioned shop before ? I know exactly what you mean. I can not support someone who has no passion for the sport. I do understand there is a place in the market for huge retailers such as Cajees, but if you want speciality work done, or special attention to detail then the smaller ?expert? dealers are the bests. A great test is if you start talking about venues like Northern Farms and you get a blank expression as if you?re talking about a foreign country then you know, you?re talking to the wrong crowd.
