How did you guys get seeded like that, I went down to I, thanks to the mtb rides

I managed to just hold onto my seeding, also thanks to the Mtb races. Lets hope the road goes better.

I had awesome form early last year, and my road ride times were rather good - prep'ing for IronMan turns you into a machine :) I highly recommend it ;)

Well last season was my first..... so X isn't the greatest bunch to start in. Die Burger race was my first - after that got seeded into T. PPA didn't update their system fast enough (they kept stalling their updates) and before I knew it, it was Argus. Would have most probably been in I if I didn't get a flat and broken spoke on the Malmesbury Rotary race.

How did you go down that ranks? Surely they take your best times and that determines your seeding?

Udxcob, only your top 3 rides is calculated, man. No worries!

You did say in earlier posts that MTB racing will not give you the good results you look for to bump up the ladder.

See you in da bunch soon.

Seems the group rides are drying up with the road season uppon us, Geno did you ride last weekends race, if so tell us about it

Hey udxcob... have been wondering what happened to you :)

problem at the moment is that everyone seems to be training with their respective DC teams...

No we aren't ..... OK, maybe you are right - depends on how 'serious' the team is. The team I am riding with only rides once a month (as far as I remember) so free the rest of the weekends B)

Sent an email out to the guys whose email addys I have with regards to the weekend ride.... will see what the response is. I am free both days (maybe not Sat early AM but def PM - need to take dogs for annual injections). Just the weather that can stuff things up (looking outside at the grey clouds whizzing by).

bikemonster, Sundays ride, from where to where? What time?

From corner Old Oak and Durban Rd (Tygervalley lights). To Stellies via Kuils River and Polka Draai, up Old Helz, down "New" Helz and back via Bottelary. Usually finish up with brekkie somewhere at Willowbridge. I ave'd a little over 25km/h and we play nice on the flats, and ride at own pace up the hills and re-group at the top.

Last week we left at 7.00 which we'll prolly repeat this week.
