I diarised a Killarney session for Wednesday, but like all month-end weeks for me i'll have to see what the week dishes up.

If not, i will join you guys. Will confirm tomorrow late afternoon.

Had a (just under) 2 hour cycle this PM. Felt absolutely K@K for the first 1/2 hour about - was averaging between 35 and 40Km/H. Legs were feeling like lead. I started vloeking to myself -asking myself 'WTF, what is going on here!', 'this isn't your riding capabilities!'.

 

Anyways, after that 'pep talk' to myself, I started riding a lot better. I ended up riding just under 60Km's, Ave about 30Km/h in the end. Not too shabby for an off ride.

After 40 mins or so, I felt lekka warmed up and solid.

And could ride forever...

MID-WEEK HIGH INTENSITY RIDE ON WED MORNING

START: 05h20 at D Ville High School Circle

FINISH: 07h00ish

ROUTE: Leave D Ville CBD via Adderley and join the 99er route for the final 25 kms.

DISTANCE: 38 km

ESTIMATED AVG SPEED: 30.0 km/h

 

REQUIREMENT: Legs that are prepared to burn a lil' and oodles of motivation.

 

DESIRED OUTCOME: Leg strength laaik Cancellara & further orientation of the final tough bits of the 99er route.
