Kranswurm, not saying this is your scenario.

 

I had a client who went through three Rival saddles, every time the saddle got replaced under warranty.

 

On closer inspection we found that his seat post had pretty sharp edges where it clamped the rails and we also found out that the dude has a pretty heavy hand, to the extent where he constantly stripped bolts and other goods on his bike, he was told that the next warranty saddle would be a little closer inspected, we have not had another snapped rail and he is still happily riding his bike with the same saddle.
