Glenzito (here on the hub) has a very nice Dura Ace 27 mm seatpost in his shop at a very reasonable price. I was going to take it for my Battaglin but it was to big. Let my know if you interested and I will inbox you his number.

Thanks, I give him call.

1953 Bianchi (same bike that Fausto Coppi rode in the TDF that year).

Frame was unfortunately resprayed in the 80s by the previous owner.

I now have all the parts and bike is ready for assembly.

That's impressive, so much attention to detail in that groupset.

When you say "same bike", do you mean literally? Fausto Coppi used that very bike?

Where was it "found"? Looks like a commuter.

Locked up outside Sandton Convention center during 94.7 registration /expo 2 years ago.

I left a note with my number.

I got a call a few weeks later.

Nope, not the actual bike Coppi road.

This one is from 1953 and is the same model he rode that year when he won the TDF.

Hi Fixer

I started negotiations with the same guy to buy his bike. I saw the bike in Centurion. A rather friendly “Rasta man” was riding it at the time. He was keen to sell at the time. I also saw it outside Sandton convention center, and thought I could follow up again… however I was a half-hearted and let it slip. Can’t buy everything you see, I said to myself. 

Your spray guy did a heck of a job… as ever

By the way. I have a Daccordi that i want to sell. Nice thing about this one is it's full late 80's Dura Ace in real good condition. I'll start advertising here first...
