Just read through this thread some very awesome bikes, has given me inspiration to clean my old bike.

Its a 86 Falcon Eurotour bought from Alan van Heerden cycles, it was my first racing bike which i bought with a years lawn mowing pocket money for R850

I upgraded the jockey and derailer in about 91

I stopped cycling in about 95 and only recently started mountain biking and this old bike has been in my garage all the time

So, just picked this up today. I have no idea what it is. I don't think the

name(Mabena) or paint is original. The bike has an incredible paint job. The

original Columbus tubing sticker was masked for the repaint and it is

so damn neat, you can barely tell. Also, all the lines on the frame and

the decals are painted. Just beautiful....just such a pity the previous

owner treated it so badly. Huge junks of paint missing all over....what

an idiot!

Anyway, the serial number(9404161) is stamped on both rear dropouts. It's got

some interesting details, namely the two seatstays that run into a

monostay and then also the extended seattube. The frame measures 51cm

from the center of the bbonym> to center of the tt and 58cm center to top with the toptube being 58cm.

Any clues on what it might be?

I'd never lean that Alan against a gate to which I didn't have the only remote.

That nag looks like it flys
