How much do you want for it (cassette)?

I have a few old items I want to sell:

Campy nuvou record RD (pulley wheels not looking too great)

Gippieme frame shifters

Corsa brake arches

If anyone is interested, pm me, or lets make a swop, looking for a 7spd shimano 600 RD and FD.

I've got a Shimano 600 RD and an old Dura Ace FD. They are 8 speed generation but work perfectly with 6/7 speed as well. How about some photos of the stuff you have?

HI ALL

It seems this may be the best time to do this, since so many people are posting old school parts for sale.

I am opening a new and exciting bicycle shop in Woodstock, it will be like no other bicycle shop in Cape Town or even South Africa.

I am planning on doing a monthly Parts Jamboree from the Shop on a saturday, were people in Cape Town have the place to wheel and deal in second hand parts.... coffee, tea, table and maybe even biscuits will be supplied..

The shop is still in construction, but i hope to have a jamboree towards the end of March, So start collecting and polishing all you unused bicycle parts, wheels and frames.

This sounds really exciting. Good luck with your venture and look forward to the first jamboree.

My GF is going to either love or hate this....passionately....depending on (1) what I leave home with and (2) what I come back with. She would prefer 'everything' and 'nothing' but it might not quite work out that way

I'm starting to develop something for all these 'old school' bikes... is that normal?

I've spent countless times staring and going back and forth on the pages....

It's a sign of growing maturity, good values, appreciation for quality, and general independence of thought. Or it could just be that you're going to become a cantankerous and eccentric old codger with too many bicycles, cleaning them with earbuds and never having enough time to ride.

Earbuds? Thanks for the tip.

mature?? I'm only 25 but yeah perhaps a little too much... :)

I've always appreciated 'older' things such as cars, cameras, etc... and now bicycles.

I think it's because older things store memories, have a history to tell, these are things that people can relate to, and perhaps remind some of the 'better' days :) :)
