Hi I was one of the guys riding the first 2/3 if the track yesterday and I thought it was awesome and very doable even on a hardtail if you ride around all the serious stuff. Wasnt going very fast since I dont know the trail very well but I would really like to give it another shot soon. Especially the little jumps/drops after the road gap looks like alot of fun.

So I'm thinking of doing the practice session on Saturday! But I need some new flat pedals since mine is worn down. So if anyone have suggestions of shops that sells some cool flat pedals with nice replaceable pins please let me know thanks!

Wow im super tempted! But at the moment my bike is falling apart!@ Went to try do the Signal hill track and did the first part of the jeep track into the forest only to realize i lost one of the derailer cogs! Spent an hour searching for it but no luck... I didnt even get to see any of the "potential" trail....

Also quite impressed with Revolution cycles i rolled into the Shop explained my situation, had no money on me, asked if they could do me a favour... and they were more than happy to help me out, spent about 30 mins looking for the screw (the ones they had were too short..) But in the end was a good enough job to get me on my way.

Was first at the "other" LBS on the same road and got zero love from them.. Found the guy there to be a di*k. Wasnt friendly. Just wanted cash.. and i normally use them... Not any more. Plus they're a rip off.

Haha i know this isnt on topic. Let me have my rant! lol

would be awesome to hook up with you mokkie :)

and loveme.DH/FR: u better not bail on us! come on, even for the practice. great fun, learn lots from standing on the side watching the pros. come man, u not gonna have a better saturday! :)

btw: LDF: u referring to the cycle shop just up from that corner motorspares shop? Only been there once, dude couldn't help me. oh well, no surprises considering it's really only Action Cycling that in the CBD has a proper clue about DH.

Heres my predicament,I really want to enter. I have no problem with racing, infact i used to race DH skateboarding and even got a 2nd place at Nationals.

So i think it would be awesome! BUT....

My girlfriend and I are going away to france for a month an leaving in 18 days. We are doing a cool long distance cycle trek over a couple days!! She has two concerns, one; if i brake an arm or leg or injure myself Im not going to be able to do the trip... And 2 we only have 3 weekends left before we go and need to get alot done before we leave....

So im stick between a rock and a hard place!! Ive told her its safe and mellow, and i wont push myself, and it will be fun for her to spectate...alas to no avail.... Well I'll see what i can do. Maybe come spectate, take some photos on the sunday.

Oh, both bike shops are on bree st. I just went there as they were closest, and i couldnt pedal... the good one was also part of THULE racks i think. I put their sticker on my helmet for their assistance!

Guys, just rediscovered an awesome section for Some DH and free ride! Theres an awesome trail Near the quarry on table mountain, just above Higgovale. I was there today, built a sweet jump/ drop off over a fallen tree and then straight into a pretty big drop! There's tons of potential there, and its pretty safe. Im gonna go back there and add more jumps and some berms.

Was pretty stoked! From not being able to stick the line to the Big drop, I decided the best and fastest route would  be to build a jump over the tree that was intially in the way! And after a few tries I was able to do both jumps!

Im gonna post some pics right now!
