Yeah, I think UncleRico was running a 225/250 on his Makulu. My Mak came with a 200lb...

I was like "what is this... a spring for anorexics!"

Ja but you have the luxury of an air chamber to pomp it up a bit. on a CCDB (Tech by Ohlins. Ahem!) you need to get the correct spring for your weight.

" The Wilson utilizes a custom-valved Cane Creek Double Barrel 10.5"x3.5" rear shock"... so yeah, 267 ETE and 3.5" stroke... as I suspected.

Ti Springs doesn't have any of those on the shelf, but they do list it on pre-order, if you can wait until Jan for delivery. And at under R1700 it is still a bargain. So go for the 275 x 3.5" with 36.5mm I.D.

I checked my spring last night - its def a 300lbs

Dude i just checked on ti-springs ... and they seem to have the 275lbs x 3.5" ...36.6mm ID in stock?

That is the one I need hey?

Which one were you saying is pre-order only?

Oh yeah, you're right. They do have the 275x3.5" in stock. I didn't see it there at the top of the list.

That one should work. It's what Super_mil runs on his Mak (also a 10.5" x 3.5" CCDB).

Well the Ti is 400g... and my guess is that the steel one will be about 600-650... I reckon you'll save a minimum of 200g. But I may be wrong.

Weighed the bike last night fully built and it came in at 17kg on the dot.

So with light weight XT brakes rather than the saints that will drop about 200g

Then the Spring - 200g

Then the rotors - 100g

And the bike is down to 16.5kg. SWEET
