Polar Battery replacement

Has anyone sent their polars for a new battery ?

 

It has to go to the agents. They say it takes two weeks.

 

I left mine at a watch shop who sent mine about two weeks ago to the agents, and am still waiting to get it back.

 

What were you quoted ?

 

I was told R225 for a new battery + waterproof

I replaced the battery in my cs200 this am myself, cost me 25.00

waterproof is the expensive bit as it needs to be pressure tested

I made an appointment with Polar and waited for them to do it. They also tested my transmitter and returned my seal that they automatically replace aswell. So I know it was done properly. the best part is if something goes wrong they will 10 to one replace the watch.

It really is best to send it to Polar and let them do the tests as well, I sent mine in about 2months ago because I was getting strange readings and guessed the battery needed replacement. Was quoted (and paid) about the same (R225).

When I got mine back Polar had replaced the battery, tested the watch and replaced the buttons with new ones cause it failed the pressure test and replaced the old Carbon lookalike face (discontinued) with the newer brushed chrome face all at no charge.

Polar's service is really good even though it took about 10 days due to the agents couriering it to them.

I took mine to Cajees (where I bought it) It took a week and cost R150-00 (August last year)

if your courier it to them and pay them to courier it back it takes about 4 days.

I always take my stuff to them, I think the last battery was about R120. I then fetch it a day or so later.

Always good and polite service.

Sent mine up to them on a Monday for battery and testing and had it back the Friday afternoon.

I've just had my Polar's battery replaced. Also cost me a similar amount to what others have mentioned, except I paid I little extra to have the face replaced. It was scratched to sh!t, and the extra R100 makes it look brand new which I was willing to pay for.

 

Took about 2 weeks.
