Nancy Drew Posted August 17, 2009 Share No Trubes, that's the beauty of this particular crit.. even slow coaches like myself can ride for an hour without being stopped...

AndreZA Posted August 17, 2009 Share Don't be like me and get lapped after lap 2 and then every 3rd lap after that. Not good for the image.
Nancy Drew Posted August 17, 2009 Share Don't be like me and get lapped after lap 2 and then every 3rd lap after that. Not good for the image. para.. you make it all the way past lap 2?! I've only done it once and if memory serves me correctly, I was lapped on my second lap... it's all good though, cos I don't have an image to uphold
Nancy Drew Posted August 17, 2009 Share How long is 1 lap and how technical is the course? I think 1 lap is about 900m? I stand to be corrected. maybe someone else can comment how technical it is, I don't know what "technical" is in terms of road riding...
White Eagle Posted August 17, 2009 Share Yipeeeeeeeeee, the best news I've heard all year. Can't wait!!!Thanks Alex.
DavidE373 Posted August 17, 2009 Share . maybe someone else can comment how technical it is' date=' I don't know what "technical" is in terms of road riding... [/quote'] How many turns are there, are they sharp turns or can they be taken wide. What I'm trying to establish is.... Would you advise a new rider (who's still very nervous on a bike) to take part in this?
AndreZA Posted August 17, 2009 Share All turns are 90 degrees but there are alot of space to go wider. It is a parking lot so if you're gonna come off, you will most like hit a kerb. Normally there are medics on stand by.
Nancy Drew Posted August 17, 2009 Share I'm more nervous on a road bike than most people I know, I was just super aware of where the fast bunch was at all times so as not to get in their way... try it rac373v2, it's a fun way to end a working day..Traffic/time permitting, Ill definitely give it another bash.. DavidE373 Posted August 17, 2009 Share I love the thrill of being in a quick bunch, it's my wife who might not like the idea of faster riders passing her all the time. Don't think it would do much for her self esteem either. I'll join you guys after I get Mont Aux Sources out of the way. I don't have the time to ride at the moment, it's just run run run for now!
