Ok, Can the power Guru's view this?

Ok, not sure what this means.

 

 

 

I did the wind off-set before the race, I did a new "tilt" and "coast down" / calibration on Friday.

 

 

 

My Aerodynamic drag was registered = 0.290327

 

My Friction Drag was registered = 8.609589

 

 

 

Does this looks "OK" ?............

ek is so 78kg's gewoonlik, (maar gaan 74 weeg by Knysna)

 

 

 

Niks meer debonairs op 'n vrydagaand !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF of 1.2 over 2 hours? Don't think it's accurate, otherwise you may need to adjust your FTP? Also 700-800W for a minute is rather impressive if you are the average 70-80kg male

Pops - the figures do look to be overstated at 78kgs (i think you said that is your weight)

 

The overall figure of 320w NP is way too high in relation to the average power figure of 202w (Variability of 1.58) - this may be most likely to have been caused by spikes in the power during the ride (it is a known tendency of the Ibike) - this throws off the normalised power figures.

 

The average power figures look a little better although also a little overstated.

 

I would spend some time talking to some Ibike users that may be able to help you with the device and getting it set up properly.

bikemax, I did those 3 important settings with the manual open. My weight is 78kg's plus 9kg's for bike and all the other add ons. On the ibike you put in TOTAL WEIGHT of the "package" (me and bike)

 

 

 

I'm sure the tilt is 100%

 

I'm sure the "coast down" was close as hell.

 

 

 

Maybe the wind reading called "offset" on the ibike could be in question. I did that on the parking bay about a 40 min before we started. And we know the wind was stronger on the road as in the parking bay.

 

 

 

Also on that road towards Vredenburg we had a couple of rough sections and the ibike went blank (on the power screen) a couple of times. but at least I got some numbers and can only learn by that.

 

 

 

I'll get it right,promise, thanks in any case for helping.

 

 

 

I did not see anyone with a iBike. Would like to know how to start / set it when the race starts and how to "end" the thing when going over the mats.

Sorry not be of more help - I am afraid that I have no real working knowledge of set up on the Ibike.

 

Once you have reasonable figures then I am happy to comment and help.
