Stupid mistake, scratch crank arm

I made a very, very stupid mistake while cleaning my bike I lightly scatched my crank arm. It is the Ultegra SL gun metal colour. Is there any why I can take the scratches out? Please help.

Very light washed with the wrong side of the sponge.

Should be able to polish it with car wax...or if you need something more abrasive use Autosol.

Brasso and very soft cloth and then polish it with car polish ie Maguires

but go gently with the brasso/autosol, you don't want to lighten th anodizing on the crank.

Oh its a road bike crank - no wonder your in a flat spin. If it where an MTB it would just add characterand bragging rights - "You would not believe the wipe out I had, check the evidence on my cranks "

I doubt you will be able to get it out of. If you polish it out you can make it alot worse.

True, but carefull polishing with the correct product/technique can lessen the appearance to almost un-noticeable with no additional damage.

The SL groupset has a thin coat of anodising (or something else) that gives it its colour. You will not get it out.
