I have a opportunity to buy 1 of these frames with the crank, im not really clued up on Cannondale so would like some advice from other hubbers, from what I seen on the internet its 1 of the bike available from them. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Don?t see much of them around so would like to  know are they stiff? Durable? Do they crack easily? How good are they really?

I have a 2007 felt team frame im waiting for so would like to weigh up my options between the 2.

I had a System 6 for a year or so until a madam decided to turn in front of me and the short version was the bike was fudga.

Got the Super6 after that.

We have a couple of System Sixes in the club.

The bike is EXTREMELY stiff.  Sometimes maybe too much if there is such a thing.

Enter the Super where they made it a little more forgiving on the body.
I miss my SystemSix VERY, VERY much but they don't make them anymore.

Up to date we had no issues with ANY of the SystemSixes in the club.  3 years, lots of racing and counting.

Thanks Spinnekop!  the frame colours is black and blue, not sure which model it is, did different year models come out with different colours?

Ive got one and i LOVE it! Much much stiffer than my previous Six13 frame, and like spinnekpop says, its stiffer then the Supersix that replaced it. It has a tapered 1.5 - 1 1/8 steerer tube which adds to the front end stiffness.

I havent heard of one instance where the frames have failed, and we have quite a few still in the club.

They can also be built up very light, my 58cm built up with Record weighs in at 6.8kg.

The black and blue ones were the 2008 models if i remember correctly. 2007 was only the polished alu / black carbon, or the plain red paintwork.  2008 was the black and blue, or the white and black paintwork.

Also bear in mind it has a 30mm BB30 bottom bracket system (BB30), which again adds to the stifness of the frame. Which crankset does it come with? The carbon or the alu SI crankset? If you have the option go for the aluminium version, not only is it lighter, but its also stiffer!
