  1. Hi. I use Cycle lab on a regular basis. Total cost for boxing and courier is R1100. That includes the box which they supply and courier to your door. Normal courier time is 3 days but their has been occasions that it took 5. I prefer the way they pack the bike and it's convenient for them just to send it off. They only way to get it cheaper is to box it yourself but most bike shops charge you for a bike box and you would still need to buy bubble wrap.
  2. The cyclist name is Idries Sheriff. One of the nicest people youll meet on and off the bike. He just loved riding, Just lost a good friend.
  3. You had 2000 ads in 2 years? well thats answers it
  4. I think this is where you are going wrong, assumptions is the mother of all ******. I'm far from a dealer, but anyway, if @Nick has to investigate my account then ill be fine with that. And stop being a dick, you posted this on a public forum so deal with the comments.
  5. Wow! 3 accounts πŸ™ˆ. Here I'm trying to run 1 reputable account.
  6. I havent weighed it yet, but I'm itching to find out. I am worried about those Crest wheels but for now they are ok. I took them around to Stoked Suspension Works for tubeless tape and they recommended changing the spokes. I would like to get a set of carbon wheels in the future but ive got a Track Bike next on the list. I love the wheels you build up.
  7. I decided to add some gears and bling. Because the frame was never meant to have gear cables I decided to go with a Sram AXS groupset, light weight wheels with Hope Hubs, Carbon one piece bar and seat post, Magura Brakes and to finish it off titanium bolts all-round.
  8. It will be my 1st. Ive always done the road race.
  9. I entered early and got the entry at 1750 and on top of that I took the lay bye option, think its like R180 a month. Found accommodation in George for like R500 for the Friday. My wife is going with so no shuttle issues and we making a trip of it. Not sure if we will travel home straight after or stay over. Im finding it reasonable.
  10. Just some info if anyone needs. My belt broke on my Wahoo Kicker V2 on Sunday, I took it off and checked the tooth count. I called around and no one had the same tooth count but from experience I knew the tensioner on the trainer moved quite a bit so I just bought a belt with 169T instead of 170T which is the original Wahoo belt. Fitted the 169T and fits perfectly and plenty of room to adjust the tension. The new belt cost me R122.50

    Bike Hub Pay

Hi I think you are generalizing. It really depends if you've been scammed before and vigilant going forward. Most of my sales and purchases are EFT and I buy and sell quite a bit out of Cape Town. As Nick said its created to build trust and there are 2 reasons people use Bike Hub Pay, 1 is that they wont get scammed and 2 that the item is as explained in the ad. Most people purchase from me as I'm a long standing member of Bike Hub and my ratings. I use Bike Hub Pay if I see its a new member with no ratings, other than that I normally just make direct contact and EFT. Last thing, Ive never picked up that the younger generation doesnt want to chat anymore, both here on Bike hub and Facebook Market place and I'm 48. Ive spent hours sometimes chatting to guys wanting to learn more and especially the younger generation .
  13. Thanks! but ive tried that option already. The springs are different.
  14. Hi. Im looking eight a broken shifter lever or just the spring that goes inside the shift lever. This is a Rival CX1 shifter (Right side). I have tried springs from other Sram shifters but the not the same.
  15. I have been using the bridge regularly since January, There has been a lot of policy presence. Police van will be parked there most mornings and almost every afternoon. I'm not sure if there has been any muggings recently.
  16. I noticed the new trend by posting something cheap just on Market place and not in the cycling groups, so you can really comment to say or warn someone. Asking a deposit to hold it for you. The give away is the Cash Send or E-Wallet.
  17. Hi Wanted to know if you you've improved on this since then and if you are willing to make a set for myself. I just need it to be 20mm. At the moment the bike will only be used on the trainer.
  18. Entries are open for 2026. I entered seeing you can pay it off. Definitely wont feel the entry this way. 8 payment of R196. Found accommodation for about R600
  19. Done the same. Found a bike on Market place for a R1000. All I was worried about was if the shifters worked. It was the best decision to buy a cheapie. I donated my brakes recently to someone that needed it.
  20. Yip. They are. They have moved. 129 Bree Street.
  21. Is the area good to ride this weekend?
  22. Hi. Does anyone have some Strava files to share of the rides done in the area.
  23. I have a Csixx 32T chainring with a 0 offset for R600. They are extremely durable.
