Tubeless tyres are not needed !! The Maxxim's range of tyres works well and so does the Kenda's despite the fact that they don't recommend it . If you have not got a compressor at home take the R500 LBS option , doing these conversions without compressor menas you will sit most of your time at the petrol station around the corner . The BigBen BMX tube works very well but do it properly the first time , i.e take your time , and it will last . Try and stay away from the Joe's rim strip if you going that route .

a set of 20" or 24 " tubes @ R100' date='a bottle of Stans or Joes @ R200A sharp knife/blade to trim the tube left out, levers, pump (preferably a compressor), time and a little common knowledgethat leaves you with.......Say R900 to spend on some decend Maxis wheels.You should have change in your pocket at the end of the day.That is what I did and I am going for my 2nd year like this. Tubes are history for me.
