Nope :-) It can only be a SRM.  Because it's built into the bike... the uci implemented it 3years ago.

But the officials is "deur die blare" at the local events. So you could get away with it. But not at SA Champs or where Mr craig is a official. He always check for that...

it weird because it doesn't feel that fast... I was warming up and going 43-48 or so...

and when you  do 35 it feels slow.

One should be able to slow down more. I recall being able to register 21km/h at the top of the embankment.

Jip.. nothing that's not part of a track bike, built in, or that might come loose during racing, is allowed. At local racing events the officials are more leanient. There are too few compettiters... if they start doing bike-checks like in the past, there would probably only be one or two guys allowed to raceWinkLOLSmile

Giving away my age here... but... 25 - 30 years ago there would be bike-checks at every event. They would check that your tubbies are propperly glued, handlebars doesn't move, chain is not too loose so that it doesn't come off in the race etc. The guys would stand in line waiting for their bikes to be checked.Smile

Ps. Great photos you guys!!!! Nice seeing you there again Ronelle!!

How is the SRM head unit mounted?

I have a zip tied CS600. and I also have a wrist band for it... so I could use that?
