like these? they are called flat bars or wing bars

i use the pair in the second photo on my racing bike and normal ones on the training bike. i find the flat bars way more comfy on long rides and like the hand position on them when climbing. i dont like climbing though!

I have the FSA K Wing bar on my Giant training bike, and these integrated stem flat handlebar on my racing bike: I won't go back to the ordinary round bars.

Okay, here you go.

You are using aero handlebars. If your GF's bars are trully the same diameter all the way through then it is the old "standard" bars. The newer bars all have a bulge in the middle where the stem clamps and that is call OS or oversize bars.
