Any thoughts & your experience on these 2 brand gloves - which works better ...  I have serious issues with my ulnar nerves - especially the right hand when MTBing

Louis Garneau Rex Gel Gloves - is this LG's only ulnar protection glove - I didn't see other on the website

Specialized have a couple BG gloves in their road section that claims ulnar nerve protection.  Unfortunately their website is down at the moment ...

Have a set of LG.

VERY NICE!  Ride with them every day.

Thanks Spinnekop.  Any problems still with hands / fingers going numb with the LGs?

Ysterman.

I have not had the issues with numb fingers though.....so I cannot comment....

The cloves are good.  Fits nice.  After a year's abuse and about 12000km on them they still look ok......

Who can remember those "GENUIN LEATHER" cloves that went hard.....you had to chuck them in the water just to get them on..... LOL

I agree with face plant. Gloves will feel as though they are helping but will feel the same after some time in the saddle as the pressure is still there. Try strengthening your core so you dont "lean' on your bars. Try some ergon grips as well.

if you have an issue with your Ulnar nerve i dont think any gloves are going to help you might have to look at the cause! like setup

Or perhaps a more contoured grip?

Thanks for all the advice.  I got a pair of these Spez BG Gel gloves - the padding looks the best of the lot ... will see if more padding means better protection ... <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I've had a bike setup done, and have also being doing a lot of core exercises (half of my gym time is spent on the mat at Paulshof ...)

If this doesn?t work, next steps would perhaps be bike setup again & the option of the ergo grips.  Thinking about it now, most of the time the problems occurs when climbing hills ... could it be my technique on climbs

I have /had nerver trouble, and for me the only solution has been to get a set of ergo grips, they are heavy, expensive, and look ***, but they are VERY VERY COMFY!!!!!

I think +/- R450-00

Do you use bar ends?

I used to and then took them off. By thinking I was in a comfy position on them I was actually pressing on the soft tissue in the palm. Took them off and the problems have been reduced. Still get hand fatigue but I think that is more a fitness and core strength issue.

TRy the Cane Creek bar ends if you feel you need them.
