You missed the point entirely. The murray saddles are not padded' date=' they're designed to need the absolute minimum. And yes, I'd take Tim Noakes' advice any day.[/quote']

Johan, I didnt know the saddle is not paded. Still Its not practical and you cant do serious mountainbiking with a wide sadle like that between your legs.

The problem with a saddle that becomes narrow rapidly like he is suggesting is that it pushes you off the front all the time as your thighs push against it while Pedaling then you are back at square one, sitting on the tip... go get one.. try it.

I never said Tim's advice is not to be taken. But Im also Not shooting from the hip here, Im a product designer and Ive done Thesis's on Pedalstroke, saddle Posisioning etc.

I know very well who Tim is, Ive been to him about my Shins. By the way- Tim recomended a Gobi to a mate of mine at the time.

cbrunsdon: I have no real choice! It goes with the colour coding and thats what matters right! I havnt ridden my MTB for longer than 1 1/2 hours for almons 2 months! But Im sure It wont burn my ass like the Planet X.

I really dig the flat front/tip of it, Its comfy when one leans forward during Climing.

Bos, I've been riding one for over ten years. Works for me.And I've done some "serious" mountain biking. He also makes one with a longer nose. Worked for Andrew Barnes on the Freedom Challenge. Admittedly they aren't going to win prizes for fashion, but that's not what we're talking about. (or is it   smiley2.gif

Well, hehe mabe it has a large roleEmbarrassed I like pretty things.

If I really have to (cant get it up) I might consider using it. but he will have to make a white one.

As for the Mtb part. When having to go well over the back with the seat in front of your chest, or bombing down hills throwing the bike around underneth you I find a seat with bigger shoulders like that restricts back and forth movement.

But lets lay this thing to bed. My points are not all based on facts so One could argue for ever here.

Nothing speaks as loud as personal experiance. So Im going to let you have that It works for you.

My Tundra works for me (so far)

Yesterday morning I spent some time fitting my bike saddle properly (well to the best of Googles knowledge).

What a difference !!!

Can say that also reading up a bit more on what Sheldon Brown had to say also gave me a new insight into saddles. End of the day their is no perfect saddle for everyone but educating yourself on what you need to look for (and how to set it up) will help you find the correct one for you.
