Dicky DQ Posted June 12, 2007 Share Crosmarks are kool. goodish grip, loooong life and bullet proof, but keep them away from the mud. absolutly no shedding takes place. within 10m you are riding on a layer of mud. Just trying the Conti Explorer, OK in the mud, very grippy and surprisingly low rolling resistance for the read patern.
Thug Posted June 12, 2007 Share I'm currently running Kenda Nevegals UST version and am happy with them.
CaptainDura Posted June 12, 2007 Share Have anyone tried the maxxis ignitor ?
AndreZA Posted June 12, 2007 Share Have anyone tried the maxxis ignitor ? I am currently using 1.9 wire bead ones. It's all I could find in the country. Probike is not bringing them in any more. I like these very much and actually think the rolling resistance is less then Larsen TTs. I can see and feel it on my commute. Grip in corners are great and I "through" the bike more around corners. It's a pitty I can't find 2.1 foldables.
TitusTi Posted June 12, 2007 Share Dura, one of the nicest tyre ranges at the moment are the Specialized, got a few very nice options, I run them tubeless but not the UST version. Work damn well in most conditions, other than that, run the Nevegals.
AndreZA Posted June 12, 2007 Share I really want to try Huthinson's Bulldogs. Got some great reviews from What Mountain Bike and is the same price as Nevagels.

TitusTi Posted June 12, 2007 Share Yeah, fast tracks, I've been using big tyres (2.25) up until now these are 2.0 give similar grip levels actually, been quite surprised by these tyres so far.
Velouria Posted June 12, 2007 Share And where do you get your Specialized's from - they are as rare as hen's teeth.
CaptainDura Posted June 13, 2007 Share And where do you get your Specialized's from - they are as rare as hen's teeth. I would also like to know where to get those specialized sl 2-bliss tires (weighing in at only 530g for the tubeless!!) from in the Cape-town area.
