rival or 105

can any one help me im in 2 minds do i go for the shimano105 or sram rival setup what make the 105 beter if i look at the price there must be a big difrence but i never used sram so i dont know the rivalberry2010-01-19 03:02:59

I am trying to do the same comparision for my son. On weight and price Rival seem to be better. My son also prefers to feel of the Sram to Shimano.

Before Red came out Sram only had Force and Rival. Force was compared with DA and Rival Ultegra. So if the price between 105 and Rival are the same, I would go Rival. Yes I know, but value for money plays a big part.

I used to have Shimano Ultegra. Middle of last year I switched over the SRAM Red and I absolutely love! Good choice to go for Rival.

The carbon finish and hidden cables make the Rival look nicer
