Went and bought my CS Nitro bib from FPC Brooklyn last night

and took it for a ride this morning. Exactly the same happened to met. The

branding has started to come off.

I will take the bib back to FPC on Monday and hopefully they

will exchange it.

If there is a know problem with this item, why cant CS pull

the product from the shelves. This is a huge inconvenience! Why would CS still

supply it and why would the stores keep om stocking it? Wierd!

yes in a perfect world I would agree with you but unfortunately it is not. Most  vendors in 1st world countries have got this concept right but we are not in a 1st world country. We live in a place where getting the basics like refuse removal is a challenge. I would just love it if I live in a place where I could demand a replacement on a faulty product but I doubt if I will see it in my lifetime.

PS the way CS handled this is perfect. If your product is faulty YOU come to the party, you don't tell the customer to come to the party. Whasp is another example of this type of service but alas these suppliers are in the minority.

yes in a perfect world I would ..... whine, whine, whine....

My rubbish gets removed every week, I recycle glass and paper. I choose not to shop at 3rd world bike shops. No reference to any particular shop but there are bike shops and suppliers whose standards are world class. If you accept sub-standard service that's your problem.Ying%20Yang

Dirt my problem is that somehow, my actual LBS which knows me well is unable to get stock(but fpc has a whole rail full) and thus I could not buy it there.  They would have exchanged it quick-quick !

So this is what I get for not buying at the lbs...

hi Grondpad. In fact we did recall stock when we realised that there was an issue with a small number of the bibs. All i can think is that these werent recalled.

Not withstanding, we will of course replace ANY product where there is a manufacturing defect.

I would also say that we source almost all of our materials and fabrics from '1st world' countries and only use the best lycra, trims, etc in our products.

Thanks for the support of those on the forum.

Hi Ian

Thank you for the reply.

I will be taking the Bib back to FPC Brooklyn tonight. Will they be allowed to do a exchange for me or should I leave it there so that CS can first check it out or something like that?

Thank you

hi there. If its a manufacturing defect they should return it to us for replacement. Some stores will replace there and then, others will send back to us for us to replace. See what they say. We will be happy to credit them if they replace as long as it's a genuine defect :-)

Hi Ian/guys

Berco delivered the new shorts at my place this morning, thanks very much for sorting me out so quickly.

Just a tiny problem, I got a MATRIX instead of a NITROS.

CS will have to take it back and send me the correct short.

Cheers,

WW.

Ah ok so that is why my shop could not get stock - recalled, makes sense.

Ian can't you force FPC guys to return them, if they are informed of the issue then I can't believe they are still selling a product they know has faults and then don't want to replace it, a bit skelm hey...

Also Ian, I think CS should enforce a policy with the stores that they must exchange the product if there is a real issue.

And what are the warranty terms of CS, nothing on the site or labels...

sigh, something things never go right!

we did recall stock, however, we werent exactly sure where in the manufacturing process the error occurred so didnt necessarily retrieve all the items. We are still monitoring returns and thus far v few, so we hope we have nipped it in the bud.

Warranty; yes must ensure it is known. we will replace any faulty product.
