I'm trying to convince myself NOT to do it...

Friday night=10km night run

Saturday morning=90km MTB

So Sunday should be a prime candidate for a rest' date=' or not?

No chance, training for Sabie, so Saturday also doing 100km mtb plus the 70km Babbas on Sunday.  Have a funny feeling Monday is going to consist of a lot of lying down LOL

No riding on Friday or Saturday. I wanna go hard on Sunday to check my fitness level for Sabie...Shocked

What time you hoping for, also what distance are you doing at Sabie?

Just remember to keep some in the tank for the second lap!!

Jis, I guess a 2:30 would make me happy...But there is a small bit that believes that I can go faster...

I am only doing the 40km at Sabie...It is my first run at Sabie so I need to check it out first...The fiance is also doing the 40 at Sabie...

Anyone know how the conditions is at babbas? (looseness of the sand)

The same as last month?

Last month the conditions were ideal for fast times. The sand was compacted by the rains the preceding few days, and it was not too hot out there (OK, I went fastish on the short route, not sure what it was like after 10am)

The sand will most probably be loose again this time round

Don't know if I'll make it on Sunday. Had a nasty crash at Delta Park on Wednesday night and I'm bruised and sore. smiley6.gif

That was quite a tumble, teach you for taking my number again.... hope you're up and right at it sooner than later!

What a GREAT day, met up with Dirt Rider and Roux1.  Had a nice first third and last third of the race.  The middle part is lost in oblivion.

To the dude who broke his collar bone, good luck and hope you heal fast.

Thank you to Andre for a great day and Shammy Rash from Karsten Cycles for getting the Orbea built up in time.

Had a whale of a time and now know what I miss being in Afghanistan.

What a GREAT day

I saw the two oke's walking back when I was going for round two on the slight uphill next to the fence in the beginning. One oke was pushing two bikes and the other was clutching his arm. Looks like it hurt.
