wildog_a Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 We've had a mail from someone wanting to complete the Ventoux 3 side challenge officially. I know some people who have just done it on their own, and lots of touring companies come up when you google the subject, but I am a bit hesitant to make a recommendation. Anyone?
Willehond Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Before you do it you need to get the official 'stamp' at the start otherwise you will do it and you won't be offically recognised (if that's what you want). You don't have to go with a touring group, but that's up to you. I'm going with two friends and we will be doing it with 2000 Belgians through sporta.be . This is an annual challenge and I received my 'papers' last month with a schedule and loads of extras. Really looking forward to it!

Willehond Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Well, the idea is that you do it in one day! I am doing it through the Sporta guys, but that might not be "official". If you want the details on the official one have a look at this site for all the details so you get your certificate and medal:http://www.clubcinglesventoux.org/index.php?sid=2&nav=14 Love this bit of advice: It's warmly adviced the use of the helmet. You have to download the form, fill it in and do the money transfer before you go to France! Apparently you do not have to be specific about the day you are going to climb, but you have to have made the payment beforehand. The Crazy German Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 There is actually a fourth side only suitable for MTB. Might be there the same dag as Williehond as my company is also sending a group. The boss heard I used to ride and now I am somewhat forced to join in if I am not in the bush working. Haven't been on a road bike since august gonna be fun
