Thanks bruce!

I got live data yesterday at Northern Farm... Let's build the picture quick:

I was cruising a long enjoying my first MTB experience, admiring the birds, the sun, the dams and rivers and all the lovely things nature provides when all of a sudden Crux pulls up next to me and says: Oh btw I only hit 1300 and something watts today... Confused

Thanks BIG guy... my energy levels dropped right there... Wink

I hope so - CSC ride with SRM's so we may just be able to get it!

Agreed - isn't it amazing how fast he looked - even though he is 12 seconds faster over 9 minutes, you can just see that he is going F$%king fast!

Using online wattage calculators - to do 55km/h on a TT bike he would need to be pushing around 630watts for 9 minutes!!

bruce, I was looking through a few pics of Fabian (I have no choice Maria Sharapova got knocked out of Wimbledon so there are no pics of her Embarrassed) in the prologue and it doesn't look like he was using a power meter. What site do you use to calculate the more or less power stats?

He was getting as much draft from the bike as possible.  At that speed it would have made a huge difference.

On such a flat course rider weight is not as much a factor as aerodynamics and pure power output.

So what you saying is... A chap that pushes over 1300 - 1400 watts at training should do this in around 8 minutes or so or even less? So someone I know could if they really wanted to, be the next world TT champ LOL Sweet... Jason2007-07-09 03:14:20

Yes, he just has the small matter of converting 5sec power to 10 minute power Wink

Dr Allen Lim estimated ~543w for Cancellara (just under 7w/kg) and about 460w for Kloden (just over 7w/kg)
