Hello All...

Someone in the know who can allay my curiosity?

Noticed on one of the Cape Epic shows, that What'shisname Ritchey's bike was running a black front shock/suspension fork, with a little DT Swiss sticker running down the side...

Googled it [albeit very briefly], and could only find DT Swiss suspension - as in REAR suspension, for full-sussers... Do they also make front shocks?

Or is this a case of a prominent cyclist being allowed to 'demo' a soon-to-be-released product?

Just curious.

Of course - maybe my googling's up the pole, and it's common knowledge that the Swiss make front-shocks...

OR, and this might be more likely, it was simply a 'sponsor' sticker... But then again, why would someone like (?) Ritchey need sponsorship, and why would any other shock manufacturer allow a DT Swiss sticker to be stuck over their name?

Anyone?

YES I believe it is true, cannot think where but I did see something about it, think it may have been something to do with master weight weenie Christof Sauser Specilaized (sp) or Thomas Freishneckt.

Dont think they are available to the public yet

He was riding a Pace fork.Pace was bought by DT a while back so all new Pace forks will have DT branding on them. They are available here and Specialized is the agent for Pace.Seen one at Willie if you are looking for one,or check out the Pace or DT website for more info.Same fork just different stickers.I have 2 of them for more than a year now.Weigh 1395g for 100mm fork is great and am very happy with the fork

But things get interesting now with Specialized introducing their own forks for 08 model year ----- will Sauser race with DT/Pace fork or be forced to use the Spez forks .....

Yes Stringbean, I do believe I will be racing. I just got my legs back from doing the Knysna Mtb race, damn I cramped like hell!! My right leg was swollen up but the swelling went down this morning. Will I see you and your DT fork at Dewdale as well?

Aw thanks Stringbean!

That be mighty interesting...

Pace forks huh?

They also make a mean carbon one, if I'm not mistaken...

There's one on this bike, pictured below...

She weighs in at just over 8,5 kgs... which is pretty impressive!
