groenkloof - still my favourite place

the last singletrack i've ridden is usually my favourite - it happened to be groenkloof on sunday.

 

it rained a little bit on sunday. But i had a ride arranged, so i wasn't gonna miss a good ride.

 

The parking lot was taken. So we parked on the side.

soon we were out of the floods and paddling pedaling sweet singletrack-rivers.

Wow... am I glad I decided to skip groenkloof on sunday! I think my car would have drowned!

the signage in groenkloof is clear ... no doubt what direction the bikes were supposed to go.

josh - it was one of the BEST rides i've had there. we had the whole reserve to ourselves. the ride wasn't even muddy - for some or other reason mud don't cling to the bike if it's that wet

 

the carpark was scary though .... if i was out when the rain started, the last thought would have been to rescue the car. we used the fountains-entrance - other side was closed because of the carpark-river. it's scary to see how powerful water is.

Ja, looks like a LOT of fun. Would've had to have taken my old bike tho, I value my drive train too much

i was also there on monday, it was really awesome!

 

The XC course was to technical for me with all the mud but I still enjoyed it...

zoo, for me it's the other way around - i don't do this because i like mountainbiking ... i love mountainbiking because of ridew like this one !
