what you looking for, deep sections or just some nice solid road wheels.

cause if you are, look for campy proton wheels, they are i think roughly R2500-R3000.

but they are exceptionally light, lighter than cosmics and the third lightest set campy make. i think mine weight roughly 1450g.

If backup vehicles are available during races, deep section carbon tubbies are the way to go. Campy Boras my fav, but pricey. Reynolds, Easton, American Classic all good alternatives.

If no backup vehicles available during most races, clinchers are the better choise, if you flat you are out of the race but dont have to walk/phone somebody.

Best clinchers deal imo Campy Neutrons:

1510 grams for the set, bladed spokes, record quality hubs for R4020 new on totalcycling.com

There was an interesting article on the hub recently on product substitutions. Most of it was about how other teams use zipp wheels. Nuff said.

Thanks for all the info guys - I'm forwarding it to my friends.  Our email at work seems a bit slow - so I haven't heard from them yet re: their budget and/or exact requirements.  They just asked about racing wheels.  It's for a husband & wife - so two sets.
