Was wondering if there is a hubber not on his bike for whatever reason, either hating his job or not in the mood for any work today - that will be so kind as to put together a CRC list of all essential tools so that I can complete my CRC order :D

Pretty Please - It's a dual sus MTB with mostly Shimano XT & Fox

Not looking for most expensive stuff - just the tools that will do the job, pretty much overhaul my MTB

Cable cutters - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=3971

Chain wip - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=4598

Cone spanners - 1x15, 1x17 (extra 17 does come in handy) - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=4598 (only if your wheels have loose bearings)

Torque wrench - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=29803

Grease gun - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=35285 (if you do not like getting your hands dirty)

BB-tool - CRC does not have this one - http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/pro-bb-remover-hollowtech

Buy them from Mr Bornman - you will only get what you need and what works - he may even teach you to use them!

Definitely going to do a course with him - I have to fill up a CRC order for free shipping, so want to buy tools instead of other gadgets ...

Jy kan maar by my en luke ook leen ou yster, tools is maar duur storie, veral as jy alles so op een slag wil koop. Ek het meeste van die wat jy nodig het om n "overall" mee te doen en soos hulle se....I know where you live ;)

As ek jy was kry ek n torque wrench...seker die duurste van die lot maar n baie oulike tool.

I made my own chain wip. A piece of old chain and a piese of steel. Took about 10 mins to make and works like a charm!

I wanted to service my rear hub yesterday and didnt have cone spanners, so I took out 2 old spanners in the right size, stuck them against a grinder for a good few minutes and voila! :D

Just keep the import duty in mind when ordering tools from CRC.... Else you might get an unsuspected surprise come delivery! ;)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this shipment slip past customs without any hassles ... this is a good mix of parts, tools, clothes & electronics ...

Otherwise I will be getting a beeeeg surprise
