What was interesting is how long it took some riders to get to the testing when they wer called. Some took 15 - 20 minutes after being called.

Were they also drinking lots of water during that time Wink

Probably. I was sitting at the finish line and heard that they kept on calling some riders and then eventually say oh rider is here now.

Maybe they were tired at were walking slowly to the collection point. LOL

Thanks for feedback. They should hav a lab doing testing in Western Cape, i know the universities will always be willing to get involved, that way the costs will drop aswell.

Do the riders get tested as they get selected for the national team or when they go overseas (on own account) to compete?

CSA will have a lot more income from the new cyclosport licences and a portion of that can be used for each province, to test a certain amount of club/league ,Provincial and Classic races.

Youll be suprised that people even cheat at club level races

that would be a solution to the cost factor, but unfortunately only the one lab is appointed by UCI in SA (same as in France for instance) to do the tests.

And no, riders here (seems like) only get tested randomly after competition or out of competition like Francois mentioned as well - see my earlier post on this issue or go and have a look on CSA's website which riders got tested after SA's....I believe that the real dopers got away...again...

There is a new team thats going to race the vet leaque this season coming and mark my words they will be drug-free and getting podium positions...

they want to prove that the guys on drugs should actually just be training smarter and stop spending their money on harmful goodies.

Are you talking about the Vets or Sub Vets? Just want to be sure. If PinnialPoint is riding SV's I don't think your team stand a chance, I might be wrong. If you are talking about the Vets, goodluck, BikeMax has a pretty strong team riding there...so you saying BikeMax team are on drugs??LOL

Oh, sorry, I'm talking out of my Ass again, I thought they did quite well but was mistaken. Let's see, Summer League see's Doug Brown, Vince Bergh and Naas Virmaak in the top 3 positions, who do they ride for, any1?? Why does Naas Virmaak sound so familiar?
