It comes down to personal choice. All three groupsets have different workings and feel to them. It is up to the individual of what you like. Personally I do not like the double tap of SRAM. I like my new Durace Ace 7900 and Ultegra 6700 lever actions and they are nice and bulky and I have large hands so they fit me better. Test drive friends bikes if you can and then make up your mind.

Ultegra from myself is over R1000 cheaper!

I have ridden Shimnao Dura Ace for 18 years and this year I changed to Sram red and I must admit I am still in 2 minds as to weather it was the correct decision.

I have not used Campy for many years but I know the running cost with the 11 speed chain are higher!

Sram is by far the better choice. I have had Sram Rival for 3 years now and I have not had a day’s issues with it.

Do all the cables go inside the handlebar tape on the Ultegra?

On the SRAM Force I got last year they do, very slick and all good so far.
