I ordered goods from CRC on 28 Aug, which was dispatch on 30 Aug,so up to there all went ok,but when my goods did'nt arrive( I gave it till 10 Sept) I started to wonder whats up? So I contacted CRC, and got the answer"your goods are with your customs in South Africa since 05 Sept" Mmmmm , that's strange I thought, but I left it since SA had a number of strikes and I thought Oh well the customs officials are on strike so I will just have to"sit"this one out !! But I was wrong, my parcel have been lying in Sao Paulo( Brazil) since 05 Sept. Surely the CRC customer care person should have picked this up since I have now questioned him twice telephonically and once via email(btw never got a reply)that these goods are not even on the correct continent ??? Huh !! What do you do ??? I deciced I shall share my shopping experience with you !!!

oh no! I hope you ordered something boring like bungees, otherwise you must be the moer-in!

 

 

Hehe,no a helmet for a friend, and some other MTB stuff for myself, and yes I am the moer in, because if I did'nt start questioning CRC I would have just sit around untill the goods NEVER arrive. I think it was my last CRC order. I am going back to bike24.com

Ek wou bestel maar nou is ek 'n bietjie bang!! :unsure:

 

 

Ek het nog altyd gese overseas mail order werk bakgat totdat goed wegraak, dan is dit n pyn,ek het al van amerika v goed gewag solank soos 4 maande..............le in hulle customs. Nee wat, koop by CWC of n ander local outlet, BAIE beter.

er sounds like something went wrong. Your parcel should usually go form Belfast straight to South Africa. If it went to Soao Paolo, then it went to the wrong place.

 

Contact CRC and make sure the delivery address is right. If they have sent it soemwhere else or got your order mixed up, they will take the time to fix it.

My vriend het vir hom 'n Reba race gekoop op CRC, hy het geen probleem gehad nie maar met my luck sal my my besteling opgemors wees, Hy het ook iets soos 20 dae gewag, ek gee nie om vir die wag nie dit moet net nie langer as 'n maand wees nie!

er sounds like something went wrong. Your parcel should usually go form Belfast straight to South Africa. If it went to Soao Paolo, then it went to the wrong place.

 

Contact CRC and make sure the delivery address is right. If they have sent it soemwhere else or got your order mixed up, they will take the time to fix it.

They definately have got my correct address, as this was not my first order,they got it on the order aswell, so nope. But that's not my problem , my problem is that I questioned them 3 times and still they don't sort it out, that my sourness with this business. Well lets see what happens now.

I have made a few purcahses from them, and never encountered any problems. I only had to wait for stuff not in stock before the order was sent but that was only a 2 day delay. Something else went wrong there. Check your addressing. Better luck next time round.

Soos ek in my eerste post gese het, ek het die aanvanklike wag periode aan n moontlike staking by customs toe geskryf, maar toe ek self begin navraag doen twee oproepe en n onbeantwoorde epos na CRC het ek besluit "hier gaan niemand my help nie" en self begin soek waar die pakkie le. Soos ek ook gese het in my eerste psoting die CRC verteenwooriger moes dit aan my uit gewys het met die eerste oproep dat die pakkie le op die verkeerde kontinent en dit uit sort, en nie n antwoord"die pakkie is al in SA sedert 05 Sept"

Was not my first order,so the goods were send as say ask you on the order" send to previous shipping address. Answer "YES" please also on the order itself your address is shown, so NO the address was correct.

To answer the OPs question: an unqualified yes, because while their service is on par with the best of the LBS', or as bad as the local Local BSers depending on your circumstances, their variety is beyond reproach, especially for downhillers.

Just to pour water on the prophets of stupid doom and gloom, except the OP, cos he is very justified in being quite upset: ordered wednesday. Package in cape town last night. 18 orders later at not inconsiderable sums of money on each occassion, and zero concerns that makes me condemn them outright.

 

But everyone has a right to choose and spend where they want. But I still say: without CRC, we'd get reamed down here and all the naysayers would be probably take that reaming without lube, and a huge smile...

whatever.
