Look, white pants follow the same rules as white handlebar tape: Both are uber-cool and only the extremely well stylistically endowed should use it. White tape/pants MUST be 100% clean, new and always worn with a scornful, alloof, yet slightly disinterested look. You can only use it for a couple of times before it MUST be replaced. That is the whole point as it shows that you have more money/style/professional backup than the black wearing proletariat. If you don't wear white, don't start.
