Is the new bike a 29er as well? If it is I call Air9 in raw finish.

 

1X9 or 1X10 was seriously considered when I built up my 29er. It should work great for XC or club rides but in races like Attakwas, Induna, Clarens etc. it will get very hard for me to pedal 32/36 up a steep hill longer than 1km.

 

But you obviously took your riding style and races you do into account when you made your decision.

 

Please keep us drooling by posting pics as you build the bike up.

I bought the guide over a year ago and rode with it a couple times and since then its been collecting dust, the new build is centered around the chain guide haha
