I put this puppy together this morning for Mrs Tarmac. It's not what she wanted (didn't come in a tiny fleece lined box) but this is from our new daughter. My gift to her will only be ready in three weeks.

I hope she likes it :D

Will Tarmac jnr allow Mrs Tarmac some time out on the road?

My wife isnt interested in cycling now that we have kids.

Unfortunately either Mr. Tarmac has to stay indoors to let her get some time or we need to get Granny around for some time off!

She's Entered the 46km Engen Dynamic! but I'm not sure if she'll ride. she only just started again on the spinning bikes.

You obviously had the cracks fixed ?

What did the rush you to fix them ?

Looks good.

I have had them repaired yes, the repair seems good and strong, I rode it around and it's hasn't complained.

Repair work cost me R1300. There was actually another pair of cracks that were not shown on the original advert - on the chainstays near the BB end, and also more damage lower on the fork and the dropouts. They also did not include the seatpost collar, the cable guide under the BB or the exit cover for the rear brake or the steerer expander nut.

I haven't had a chance to get her painted up yet, because of the strict bday deadline, but I will strip it again next week and airbrush in the repair areas. After that it will be looking like new!

I'll be doing the full ride, then going back to fetch the mrs.

Hi Neville, when will Mrs Tarmac join you at Killarney with that spunky bike?

Wild horses couldn't drag her to Killarney. She is waaaaay less competitive than I am! Maybe Tuesday night is for her and Wednesday is for me ;)

That's still a bargain.

Bummer about the additional cracks though.

If your GF doesn't like it, I'll gladly take it off your hands :D :D
