What does it cost to fly your bike with you? Is a bike bag enough protection for you bike?

I travel with a bike bag which I bought on the hub and its safe and secure. I buy additional 8 kgs on kulula and that does it.some airlines charge R250 or so with no bag and u must inform upfront

Have looked at Mango and they charge R195 to fly the bike, but can't find any indication on the weight of what you can take with you. If you're looking at a bike box and the bike, that is already over 20kg, and then your normal luggage aren't even checked in yet.
