agreed Rock: Gee did awesomely irrespective of the fact he didnt have a 'trick' to perform. But his one and only run was easily teh most assured, surefooted run of the pack. He was super steezy.

what DV? riding down that big ass mountain at race speed while hucking massive triples, and landing a hip sending that no one else can land properly, is not trick enough?

I hope u never become a rampage judge. eva..

Put in a 360 or a superman, and you're legend.

Don't know if you watched the last Rampage vid, and you see them interview Gee and then the Claw.

Gee, "it would mean a lot to me to win this"

Berrecloth "yeah, for me to win it would be cool, but it's not the biggest thing in the world. You're just here to have fun and ride with your friends."

That's the difference between a racer and a freerider.

The four criteria, with each getting the same weight, are: difficulty, style, fluidity, and amplitude.

hahaha!

ok... so as a rider that can't do any tricks (let alone big ones)... neither can I make it down those hills in 1 piece...

I think all those guys are legends!

Sure big tricks make it look even more wicked...

..and yes, only a rider could appreciate the precision that Gee uses...

...but hey... it's the Rampage... it's insane on every level!

yep. well aware of the criteria and gee makes the cut as there is no specific mention of a trick, so dunno what DV's rambling on about

Gee doesn't get my vote in the awesomeness category.

Even our our Meneer Minnaar has style and pulls tricks in his race run. He is the King of the Race Whip, is he not?

This is a serious place and not only is the terrain trying to kill you, but the weather wants your ass as well. Half way through the competition the sky filled with dark clouds and the wind picked up. It wasn't looking good, but thankfully the weather gods obliged and the remaining riders were allowed to show us what they are made of.

A great angle of Geoff Gulevich airing out the Oakley Icon Sender.

Graham Agassiz, arms out for maximum lift. The canyon gap got tweaked a bit from last Rampage with a taller landing and what looks like a slightly different lip. Some riders had it on lock down, like Aggy, but a few others got claimed.

Bring back any memories? Strait with a MASSIVE suicide no-hander off the Oakley Icon Sender.

Gee ended up being the only rider to nail this massive hipped stepdown, which surely locked down 2nd place for the Brit. His run was insanely smooth and fast, that's a given, but as he rolled into this last feature he took off from a different approach than was first built. It looks like it set him up just right.

BOOM. Thanks to Zink, competitions just changed in a big way. This sequence is actually from his

first attempt that saw him land slightly crooked and get high sided down the transition when he

tried to correct it. After a long weather delay he nailed it on his second run...
